Global creative roll-out

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opened in London in 2016 and we have been responsible for the show’s global marketing, advertising and media from the outset. Based on J.K. Rowling’s first new Harry Potter story since 2007, it rapidly proved a popular and critical hit, becoming the most-awarded new play in history.

In Summer 2021, AKA worked alongside our creative partners to develop a brand new look for the production which was revealed alongside the reopening announcements for the show in London, New York, San Francisco and Toronto and the launch of a new one part version of the show in North America. At the heart of this, AKA led on the development and design of a new website to unite globally the productions in London and North America; bringing discovery and magic to the forefront of the design and streamlining the layout from a UX point of view to create an easy to navigate site.

As of summer 2021, the show is set to return to London, New York, San Fransisco, Melbourne and Hamburg, and will open for the first time in Toronto and Tokyo in 2022.
