Glowing End To Chester Zoo’s Recovery Year

The annual Lanterns event at Chester Zoo was a sell out in 2021 and is always an important event in the busy calendar at the Zoo; not only important for end of year sales but also the hearts and minds of families across the North West for this extraordinary visitor attraction as it opens after hours to give the Lanterns their full impact and create a magical experience for children.

After an uncertain 2020 this was a pivotal stage for the Zoo in their recovery both financially and for the confidence of visitors to return to enjoy all the Zoo offers. As the media partner for Chester Zoo, we wanted to showcase the stunning creative on high impact digital sites across other leisure touchpoints in the region; which included the Trafford Centre and Liverpool City Centre which were especially effective at dusk/night. The campaign also included a mix of digital display strategies to re-target previous bookers and prospect audiences new to the event. We were delighted to attend the event ourselves and marvel at the creativity of each area, creating our own memories alongside our local families.
