Oscar Wilde was a frequent visitor to the Café Royal in the 19th Century and so, when reviving the hotel, they named their bar The ‘Oscar Wilde Grill Room’ in his honour.
Taking advantage of this Wildean link, we have secured a hotel partnership with Café Royal on Regent Street to target their affluent culturally aware clientèle and high spending tourists. The hotel agreed to create a The Importance of Being Earnest window display, ensuring high impact creative exposure for the show on one of the busiest streets in London.
In addition, the Café Royal created a themed afternoon tea featuring cucumber sandwiches and Lady Bracknell cake, which is being sold as part of a combined theatre package. Branded bill folds are also being distributed to all customers in their café, bar and restaurants and the Importance of Being Ernest is featuring on confirmation emails sent to each guest on booking.
