We are thrilled to work with Wildworks on their latest production, the fascinating and indefinable BABEL.
Wildworks is internationally renowned for its immersive and boundary-pushing theatre productions and their new venture, BABEL, continues this legacy. The culmination of the World Stages project and collaboration between eight London theatres, BABEL will be a continually evolving site-specific piece that will include the participation of local residents, in the same way that Wildworks’ version of The Passion starring Michael Sheen did in Port Talbot.
For the production, we created art that focused on assembly, community and interactivity, in keeping with the main aspects of BABEL itself. The creative that aka designed places BABEL in the centre of a throng of people, drawing them in and drumming up curiosity, whether they wish to be potential collaborators or involved observers.
In order to further increase stand out for this campaign, we also developed non-standard formats to showcase our artwork. For example, new tall folio sizes were developed to articulate the size and scope of BABEL, while towering brochures (the size of an A4 page split in half lengthways) were printed to boldly deliver cut through when competing against other creative. Each one of these formats is compatible with the brand of the show and, like the show itself, goes beyond the traditional.
