Wednesday 19 November marked Twitter’s first ever #LoveTheatre day. The 24 hour event was run in partnership with Guardian Culture Professionals Network and gave an opportunity for arts companies and cultural institutions across the globe to come together on Twitter to celebrate theatre and give followers an exclusive backstage insight into each production.

Seven of our clients took part; Made in Dagenham, Matilda, Jersey Boys, Billy Elliot, The Scottsboro Boys, The 39 Steps and Dirty Dancing and all were at the forefront of the day’s activity which trended worldwide. We gave users virtual backstage tours, interviews with the cast and crew and live tweeted the activity right the way through each performance. Between the seven accounts we tweeted nearly 200 times and generated a staggering 5,637,224 impressions! Here’s a snapshot of our activity below, including tweets picked up by The Guardian’s #LoveTheatre live feed and Time Out Theatre Blog
