With AKA’s chosen charity for 2018 being Mind, we jumped at the chance to attend IAB’s ‘MIND Ideas Hack’. The IAB hosted a daylong event that was attended by individuals from various agencies, publishers and tech companies. Split into teams with diverse skill-sets we were challenged to brainstorm for 3 key objectives:
- Creating awareness of the charity Mind
- Changing male perception of mental health
- Using digital to reach people with mental health concerns
Across the day 81 ideas were created from sub questions and the event culminated in a session where the nine groups pitched their best idea to the room. The top ideas will go on to second round pitches at the IAB Nonference and Mind hope to implement the winning strategy as part of their business model!
