As part of a team of six social media professionals, the Content and Social Executive undertakes a variety of tasks to help ensure the smooth running of the department with a particular focus on advertising, community management and assistance with content creation. The role works across multiple high profile clients (Theatrical, Museum and Galleries, Attractions and Events) and across all major social media channels.

The ideal candidate will be a creative, motivated and energetic individual with excellent writing and numerical abilities, with at least one year sold social media experience. Previous experience within the arts and entertainment sector is preferable but not essential. A willingness to learn, be part of a small but busy team and embrace fast moving agency life is vital.

Key Tasks

1. Undertake community management, monitoring and responding to questions and comments from fans and ensuring correct and up-to date customer information is communicated. When appropriate escalate any hot-issues to the relevant Content & Social Manager and Client Services team.

2. Assist Content and Social Managers with creation of imaginative and engaging content, undertaking necessary research, participating in brainstorms, writing copy and creating visual assets, attending Press Nights and capturing video and photo red carpet /party content.

3. To receive social advertising briefs, create advert proofs, make amends and traffic approved adverts using agreed audience targeting, timings and budget. Ensure the correct finance and billing process is adhered to for raising Media Orders and processing supplier invoices.

4. To regularly check the performance of live advertising, optimising campaigns and providing interim results to Client Services as required.

5. Once a campaign has finished, assist the relevant Content & Social Manager with compiling a post campaign report, pulling data from each relevant platform and creating results tables.

6. To be a point of contact for Client Services for queries regarding Social Advertising, providing advice and assistance on the completion of briefs and suitable advert assets.

7. Assist with the setup of new social media accounts, securing the agreed page and usernames and populating with content as requested. 

8. Assist the Content & Social Director with running of the AKA London Twitter account.

Key Requirements

 1. Demonstrate terrific communication skills both verbal and written, with excellent attention to detail.

2. Experience with Microsoft Office particularly Outlook, Calendar, Word, Excel and PowerPoint within a work situation. 

3. Proficient using social media within a work situation, a sound understanding of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram platforms and the basic principles of creating and publishing content and measuring its effectiveness.

4. Share an interest in theatre, music, art, film or photography and use it to enhance the quality of your work.

5. Have the ability to stay up-to date with the continuously changing social media ecosystem, in particular the modifications to the day-to-day workings of Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and share updates with the rest of the department.

6. Be able to get your head round numbers, appreciate the value of data and how it can be used to demonstrate the value of our work.

7. Possess great interpersonal skills, be a team player and work effectively with a broad range of agency people. 

8. Be extremely organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.

9. Work well under pressure in a fast paced, pressured environment with a positive can-do attitude and excellent follow-through.
