BOOKING PERIOD EXTENDED SEATS THROUGH TO OCTOBER 2009 NOW ON SALE

Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage, at the West End's Aldwych Theatre, has extended again! This hugely popular sell-out show is now booking all the way to OCTOBER 2009, meaning more people than ever will be able to have "the time of their lives" at this incredible live theatre experience.
The show, hailed as "The biggest live theatre sensation of all time" (Polly Vernon, The Observer), is now in its second hit year in London's West End. Since opening in October 2006 over 750,000 people have seen Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story On Stage and the show has become a global phenomenon, with productions now playing in Toronto, Hamburg and Utrecht, with Chicago set to follow this Autumn.
Written by Eleanor Bergstein, script writer and creator of the hugely successful film, Dirty Dancing is the coming of age love story between the talented and headstrong dancer Johnny Castle (Josef Brown) and Frances 'Baby' Houseman (Sarah Manton) during her family's summer holiday. The stage show features all the much-loved characters from the iconic film as well as the tantalising dance sequences and hits from the unforgettable soundtrack, such as 'Do You Love Me?', 'Hungry Eyes' and the Academy Award Winning '(I've Had) The Time Of My Life'.
Eleanor Bergstein commented: "My colleagues and I had many sweet dreams when we started this - but they never extended as far as tickets into 2009. We thank our beautiful actors and dancers who put their hearts on the line every night; and we thank our audiences who are there to receive them."

The stage show is directed by James Powell, music supervisor Conrad Helfrich, choreographer Kate Champion, set design Stephen Brimson Lewis, lighting design Tim Mitchell, sound design Bobby Aitken, video and projection design Jon Driscoll, Ballroom and Latin choreographer Craig Wilson and costume design Jennifer Irwin.
