Training: Robin graduated from the University of Edinburgh and received honours in LAMDA's Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals for Acting.

Theatre: Woodley in Young Woodley and Steve in Tea and Sympathy (both directed by Adam Penford at the Finborough Theatre), Will in The Prince Among Men (Union Theatre), Richard Loeb in Never The Sinner (Bedlam Theatre), Lieutenant Webb in Hamp (KCS Theatre Company – Edinburgh Festival).

Film: Robin spent 3 months working one-on-one with the actor Sam Rockwell, playing his clone, in the British science-fiction feature Moon. Directed by Duncan Jones it is due for release in May 2009.
