Training:James trained at the London Studio Centre and The Royal Ballet School.

Theatre credits include: Singing in the Rain (Leicester Haymarket), Oliver!(Leicester Haymarket), Italian Escort in Swan Lake (European Tour), The Nutcracker/Dr Dross in Nutcracker! (Sadlers Wells, UK, Far East & US Tour), My One and Only (Picadilly Theatre, West End), James in Highland Fling (Sadlers Wells, UK Tour, Tokyo), Jim Upton in Edward Scissorhands (Sadlers Wells, UK, Far East & US Tour), lead role of Luca in The Car Man (Sadlers Wells & UK Tour) all choreographed and directed by Matthew Bourne. More recently he has appeared in Carmen (Royal Opera House) directed by Francesca Zambello and Candide (English National Opera) directed by Robert Carson.

For television: Gobstopper in Nutcracker! (BBC Films) directed by Matthew Bourne and most recently Lynda La Plante's Above Suspicion directed by Chris Menaul for ITV.
