Ian Banham
Ensemble/Ballroom Supervisor
Training: He trained at the Tom and Pat Lait School of Dancing in Ipswich. He then went on by travelling all over England entering in National and International competitions, where by the age of 10 he was in the worlds Top 7, with his partner in Latin American.
In 1989 while still heavily involved in competitive dancing, he was picked from thousands to dance with his idol of the time, Kylie Minogue, on the BBC family show Jim'll Fix It. He has also appeared in a documentary on The South Bank Show, portraying the life of Dame Barbara Cartland, playing her father.
Ian has had some fantastic partners helping him with such accolades as – Closed United Kingdom Youth Latin American Championship and Open Russian "Golden Horn" Junior Ballroom Championship.
At 28 years old he is making his West End stage debut, and with his Latin American background Dirty Dancing will sure be the perfect combination.
