Training: Originally hailing from Long Island, New York, Brian trained at Harvard University and Trinity College of Music, London.

Theatre: His musical theatre and opera credits include Phantom Of The Opera where he performed in the ensemble, understudied the role of Piangi and understudied/played the roles of Monsieur Reyer, and Auctioneer; he played Larry Kenecki and understudied/played the role of Dwight/God in Jerry Springer the Opera both at the National Theatre and the Cambridge Theatre, for which he shared in the 2004 Olivier Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role in a Musical, The Mikado for D'Oyly Carte Opera Company at the Savoy Theatre, where he understudied Jasper Carrott as Ko-Ko, Black and Blue at the Battersea Arts Centre; No Frills at the King's Head Theatre, Xerxes for British Youth Opera at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, La Bohème at Hever Castle, The Pirates of Penzance and The Marriage of Figaro at Harvard University and Titanic at the American Repertory Theatre Cambridge, Massachusetts.
