Basienka is delighted to be back in the West End having just returned from spending a year performing in New York and throughout America on tour with the leading classical theatre company Aquila, appearing as the Wife of Bath in The Canterbury Tales and taking on the challenge of playing both title roles in alternating versions of Romeo and Juliet!

Theatre: West End and No.1 touring credits include Ursula in Sweet Charity (Michael Rose Productions), Maria Elena in Buddy (E&B Productions), the lead roles of the Grand High Witch in The Witches and Charlotte in Charlotte's Web, both for the Birmingham Stage Company, the central role of Bathsheba Everdene in Far From the Madding Crowd on tour for Middle Ground/Theatreworks and, more recently, the role of Vicky in Preacherosity for the Okai Collier Company. International appearances include Suzanne in Don't Dress For Dinner at the English Theatre of Frankfurt and a middle and far east tour of California Suite for Intercontinental Productions, travelling as far afield as Malaysia, Thailand and China. She also appeared in the principal role of Conchita in the Scandinavian premiere and tour of the musical Copacabana. Regional and repertory theatre credits include Muriel in Animal Farm (Worcester), Jacinta in Serious Money, Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Anne in Good and Cruella De Vil in 101 Dalmatians (all at the Chester Gateway), Guinevere in The Search for the Grail and Anna in Old Times (Royal Lyceum, Edinburgh), Marguerite in The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and Clara in Anthony (Glasgow Citizens), Pandora in Jumping Red Lights (Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds), Belinda in Noises Off (Taunton), Bianca in Othello (Theatr Clwyd and tour), Elizabeth Elliot in a national tour of Jane Austen's Persuasion (ReCreation Theatre Company) and Mary in Caught in the Net on tour for Bruce James Productions.

Film & TV: Basienka's extensive screen credits include Caroline in all six episodes of Frank Stubbs, Jackie, a leading role, in the film Lunar Girl and Gitta, a guest starring role, in The New Adventures of Robin Hood for Warner Bros, as well as featured roles in Bust, Tickets for the Titanic, Inspector Morse, London's Burning, King and Castle, Rides, TimeBusters, The Knock, With Friends Like You, Get Real, The Vice, Small Potatoes, A Good Thief, Clocking Off, Second Coming, The Royal, Doctors, Don't Stop Dreaming and Carrie And Barry. More recently, she appeared in the featured role of Erika Okur in two episodes of Casualty and the guest lead role of Yasemine in Chopra Town for the BBC.
